Libris communicates events to the Libris platform and Monitoring Service Provider periodically throughout the day, when a call is made, and when it is placed in the charger.

Libris does not perform a self-test, but the data received from Libris contains information about the health of the device, including battery, temperature, signal strength, and sensor status.
